Exercise Two

explore different ways to develop a new relationship with yourself.

The Sacral chakra/Energy centre

Some of us learned that sharing our feelings wasn’t safe, or perhaps they were never understood. So we learned to keep quiet, suffer alone, or even suppress our emotions.

The sacral chakra energy centre is our emotions and feeling centre.

For this exercise; set a timer for 5 minutes and answer these journal prompts:

-What feelings are with me right now?

-Where do I feel these emotions in my body?

-What might this feeling be trying to tell me?

You are never alone. Your feelings and emotions aren’t your enemy. They are your messengers. Messengers guiding you back to presence. To allow you to come back home to your truth. Express, don’t suppress.

feel, allow, AND welcome flow.

I have had my clients create something called an “Emotions Jar”. It is a great way to use an invisible net to catch the emotions so they don’t go unnoticed or uncared for.

Find a jar or vase, or even a large cup.

Using pieces of paper; map your emotions. When you notice an emotion moving through your body; try to name it. Write it down on the piece of paper, and add the origin as well if possible and place it in the jar. If it’s an old emotion, you may not know its origin, and that is ok.

If you can’t name the emotion; try using coloured markers. Black for hopelessness, red for anger, maybe blue for sadness, or even yellow for joy. Sad faces and smiley faces work too.

After some time using this practice, you may even notice some patterns.

This can help you be able to address them and work with them instead of against them.
